End Of Life Care
End Of Life Care is assistance for people in their final years or months of life. It is intended to enable patients live as fully as possible in their remaining time and to die with dignity. It considers the patient’s choices and preferences, and it frequently includes assistance for the patient’s family, friends, and caregivers.
The management of pain and other symptoms is a common component of St Vieve Healthcare’s palliative care service, but it also includes social, psychological, or spiritual support. It is a “holistic” approach that focuses on treating the entire person rather than just one illness or group of symptoms. We always encourage patients to receive palliative care in the familiar surroundings of their home, surrounded by loved ones.
When you leave the hospital, our skilled palliative care team can help you, and they can continue to support you as you go about your daily activities. As required, we can offer care around-the-clock.
